March 2021: CMHA Statement

Matthew Good was accused by Hayley M of using his fan base for sex, but worse than that, she also accused him of creating an elaborate underage sex trafficking ring of underaged girls – specifically mental health patients associated with CMHA.

Not one shred of evidence has come to light in regard to that accusation. I never spoke to anyone that knew of it, or had any details, or had spoken to any woman that claimed to be apart of that. The only person that made that claim was Hayley M.

Hayley claimed Matthew Good used his sponsorship of the charitable organization Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) to find and sexually groom young girls with mental health issues.

Hayley put up a post the VOMG Facebook group, stating that she had arranged a phone call to CMHA to warn them. The result was the March 29th, 2021 announcement on the CMHA website.

Nothing further resulted from the investigation as it appeared the accusation was most likely false.

Incidentally Hayley deleted her posts in the Facebook group immediately after the CMHA posted their statement. I didn’t get a screenshot of her post about this, because I wasn’t keeping things at that point – if anyone else has that screenshot please email me.

I do have the Activity Log though that shows when she posted prior to the CMHA post and on the March 29th, 2021 date – which was I believe was her celebrating the statement released.

I remember the women being happy with the CMHA statement and hopeful, and informing CMHA their email link on their site didn’t work when it was first posted.

I am sure whomever Hayley had a telephone conversation at the charity could confirm if the interaction took place or not.

In any case, Hayley had encouraged the women in the group to pressure the charity into an investigation.

The CMHA is a non-profit charity. I doubt the donations it receives could afford to fuel a large investigation into false allegations but I assume they looked into what they could and that was that. There was nothing to investigate.

Unless you want to run down the history of what Matthew Good has done for the charity.

In 2008 an award was presented to Matthew Good. Mental Health Voices is Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Vancouver-Burnaby branch’s signature fund raising event.

March 2009 Matthew Good was a keynote speaker at the seventh annual Bottom Line 2009: Workplace Mental Illness and the Family Conference in Vancouver.

In 2013 Matthew Good hosted a TEDxToronto event titled “Balancing mental health and genius” – Hayley tried to get this taken down off of YouTube too.

In 2018 Matthew Good gave a free concert for BC Recovery Day.

Matthew Good sold his “OK merchandise” from which all proceeds were donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association!

Many of the women have suggested that he was virtue signalling or doing these charitable events to cover for the sexually deviant behaviours he was participating in – in his private life. I don’t get that impression from him. I think he genuinely wants to help others find mental health help. Reality is though, most people will fall thru the cracks in the shabby system that exists. Most won’t ever even get into treatment, instead finding drugs to mask the problems themselves. Addiction and mental health always seem to go hand in hand.

I also know, most people can’t be helped unless they themselves truly want to be helped.

Awareness of just how many people suffer in the world – from their own inner demons – is important none-the-less.
