In Canada we have The Age of Consent.
FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
On September 21, 2023 I received a complaint, that was submitted against this website, given to my hosting company. My hosting firm provided me with the entire document of the complaint, which legally they had to provide.
So, they gave me the attachment from the complaint. Which included the name of the woman that made the compliant.
I know the name of the woman that submitted the complaint is – she was not ever mentioned in this entire website – she is not someone that every complained about being abused by Matthew Good.
She is merely a Matthew Good fan – or once was.
Her complaint was that her ‘name’ was showing in 1 screenshot. This is the screenshot – now edited.
Aliases
In fact, that isn’t even her legal name – from my research – it appears to be an alias. On other social media she uses another alias, the name of a famous porn star. Go figure.
Had she messaged me directly I would have easily taken her name out of this one screenshot – I edit things when requested – with in reason – as I have for many of the people that have personally spoken to me. I have removed her last name now from this one image – that didn’t even have anything to do with her. Her name was there because it was my reply to her. It was an oversight that it was not removed sooner.
It was one of only 3 things my host required I do based on her long complaint.
The second was removing a publicly available address. And the legal last name of an individual.
I had to modify just 3 posts.
I decided to review the entire website at that time.
My hosting firm and I discussed what was acceptable. I discussed with my retired lawyer friend what we should and should not modify. I could for instance, leave first name with a last name’s first initial. We also discussed what doxxing was – to the Hosting Firm. I decided to make sure the entire site was cleansed.
The woman that complained had suggested I was doxxing private information – yet that information was widely publicly available.
So I did what the host required to remove that public info despite it being publicly available. They were more than happy with the revisions that we made – that were well above and beyond the Hosting Firm’s requirements.
Age of Consent
One of the complaints in the long letter, was that several of the women who accused Matthew Good of abuse were ‘minors’ when they alleged he began grooming them.
The Age of Consent is 16.
So even though it is morally icky to most normal folks for an adult man to want to have sex with a girl of age 16 – it is legal. I know Russel Brand is taking flack for that lately too. It is icky, but legal. When I met my boyfriend Fernando I was 16, and he was 20. I was legally able to make that choice. My parents let it happen. Now maybe it would have been different if Fernando had been 15+ years older.
There comes the complex problem – “In some cases, the age of consent is higher – for example, when there is a relationship of trust, authority or dependency.”
Does a rockstar or celebrity in society have a relationship of trust over a person? Do they have a relationship of authority? It becomes very complex at that point.
That is what court cases are for.
But none of these accusations were brought to a legal authority – they were merely putting out these claims on public social media sites like Instagram, for example.
At the age of 17 – these women that began talking to Matthew Good, a rockstar / celebrity in Canada, knew what they were doing. These young women either rejected his sexual advances or they continued to talk to the rockstar for their own personal social climbing reasons.
Swimming Against The Current
Raina The Mermaid was legal age (age 22 by her own accounting) when Matthew asked for sex.
And if you Google her stage name it takes you to Internet Movie Database which gives her legal name.
Several promotional, and other news media outlets also name her and her husband, so it was information really easy to obtain.
I know that it isn’t a popular stance, but, at age 17 these young women could have had sex with any adult if they consented to. The grooming accusation is a stretch, Raina was 17 when they started talking YET it was not until she was in her 20s when Matthew Good asked about a sexual relationship, according to Raina’s own public story. I am sorry if that seems dismissive – but those are Raina’s own words.
Imagine what a lawyer in court would do with this claim!
Matthew Good maintained many long term friendships with women, that later he fucked and chucked – according to the stories. I have a few more examples I could publish but don’t.
Was that grooming? What did those women want from him? You really got to ask that question. These women continued to speak to him, to hang on to their relationship with him over years, despite the sexual nature of the conversations – so why? What was their ulterior motive. Were they hoping to be wife number whatever in his long line?
A good lawyer in court would ask. But this isn’t court. This is the internet.
Facebook Private Group vs Public Info
The other complaint the letter writer had, was to do with whether the Facebook group was ‘private’ and whether my sharing of screenshots of my communications in that group was legal.
The Facebook Group is Discoverable. Anyone in the public can see the Admin and Moderators of a Private group before even asking to join.
Anyone can apply to join. There was evidence in the posts, that at the beginning of the creation of the group – anyone was, in fact, allowed inside the private group.
Many screenshots of the conversations from the date of creation of the group (Jan 2021) had been publicly shared on Social Media, on Twitter and Reddit. They still exist to this day on those social media sites. A Tumblr website also shares the screenshots.
The women were happy those screenshots were shared, they expressed their happiness – they wanted to expose Matthew Good publicly.
Before the Admin account of the Facebook Group was allegedly hacked, the Admin named Kim, posted on January 30th, 2021 that everyone would be let in, and that she wanted everyone to know the info therein. That voided the concept of privacy of the group, and at that time Kim warned anyone that didn’t want their info public, to remove their content, or change their names, or leave.
This statement – removes privacy expectations.
Erin Warned Me
In February 2021 a second Admin named Erin was the one that let me join that Facebook group.
The woman that filed this complaint to my hosting firm, went around telling various people about her complaint prior to filing it with my hosting company.
Erin messaged me privately on September 13th, 2023. (I received the Hosting Complaint on September 21st, 2023.)
So I was well aware there was something going on before the letter came from my hosting firm.
Erin and I discussed the situation and she is okay to have her story out there. I was happy to remove it 100% – I offered and edited any items, right away at her request.
Erin is not the only person I have had conversations like this with.
I removed / edited several stories at the request of individuals over the life of this website. As example, in March / April 2022, one woman requested the 1 page about her involvement be removed – and it was.
Phaedra, for instance as prime example, she is okay to have her accusation public, but not her full name for the same reason, seeking employment. However, after she and I spoke, and having known her personally, since 2006, I elected to keep her story offline. As I have with many others. MANY.
Others just wanted to move on, and I have respected their wishes, and they can attest to my continued willingness to work with anyone that contacted/contacts me. The information on this site, is mostly available publicly, aside from my personal communications with Matthew Good, and others.
I don’t advertise this website. I post about it on my twitter occasionally. I have a web tracker and Google Analytics to track the incoming traffic of this site. The traffic is very minor. I know what people are Googling and how they come to the site. As I informed Erin, there had never been a search for her name in the analytics. The only names searched that lead here, are mine, Matthew Good, and some of the MeToo names – for example James Franco.
In fact, most Search engines take you to other content way before my site when you google Matthew Good. For instance, the link to this website At Last, There Is So Much To Be Said is often way before mine. I don’t know who owns that site, Matthew asked me to track down the owner, but I don’t know who it is.
Has a complaint been made to those other sites? How about other random sites that note his ex-wives and his children?
The complaint against me was personally driven, that is clear.
Privacy Rights
From a legal stand point, on April 12th, 2021, the fact that the women in the group knew and admitted to knowing that the Admin account was “hacked” and no longer in control of Kim, that originally used it as an alias account, that also removes privacy rights.
That the Facebook Group was not immediately abandoned by the women in February 2021 when they alleged it was hacked, shows they wanted the site contents publicly exposed.
When I joined the group Feb 12th, 2021 not one woman informed me that Group was vulnerable due to this alleged hack. I could legally complain – I was lied to by the group – their statement that it was a safe space to share private information – was a lie. They knew it was a lie. They knew the group was compromised.
Furthermore, in April 2021, when the Admin named Kim regained control of the Admin account, she and Hayley both accused Matthew Good himself of being the individual that hacked the account. Then accused his second ex-wife.
That fact, that the group knew that the Admin account was hacked, and they were happy to have the information exposed – really don’t seem concerned with privacy rights – do they.
I am sure a lawyer would love to argue the validity of privacy under such circumstances.
Or not. I am not a legal expert. I am just pointing out that that FB group was a shit show, and nothing in there was under protections and everything was exposed long before I arrived.
It was always my intent to go through this RG site and remove names from any screenshots and edit what was needed. The complaint just gave me the excuse to take to the task to checking each image and editing them.
I have willingly removed the last names in all screenshots, I went through one by one, now. Despite many of these women having publicly previously used their names in full. Or the names being aliases.
For instance, Hayley and Raina were public with their claims and their identities are public.
Hayley was in the news for her accusation. Raina has been in many newspaper articles, and she publicly states her story on Twitter (now X), and her legal name was used in those easy to locate news articles. Her real name is also named publicly on IMDB. So the complainant to my hosting firm, that “knows” Raina, clearly doesn’t “know” how publicly accessible the legal name of Raina The Mermaid is when you Google her.
Public figures do not have the same protections of their names.
But I removed these women’s last names anyway.
Bah Humbug, It’s Christmas
So have a Merry Fucking Christmas.
My 3.5 year old French Bulldog was just diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer and given a month or two to live. So forgive me for being a bit bitter.
I have been dealing with that, and not so much giving a shit about Matthew Good, MeToo bullshit, or even frauds like Yaniv that pretend to be Métis when they are not. And I am Métis!
I am going to be doing a lot of me stuff… and things here on RG might be quiet for some time.
As I take a hiatus and enjoy my semi-retirement. And love my dog for the days she has left.
And have a Happy Fucking New Year too.
